Cleat hitch

This one’s going to be a little niche. If you are someone who doesn’t care about doing things properly, doesn’t care to have things ship-shape, doesn’t have an interest in learning a simple and useful skill then you can skip to the last photo showing Cyclops after Ellen and I waxed the front half and half the back half.

I’ve put together a photo essay of a fraction of the improperly tied cleats at this marina. A boat is not an inexpensive purchase, it baffles me that owners can’t or won’t take five minutes to learn the knot that safely secures it to the dock. Also, a correctly tied cleat hitch just looks right.
