Working harbor

We went for a run this morning. It was lovely going past the famous Gloucester Fisherman’s Memorial and then loads of flowerbeds full of dahlias.

The wind is up today and has shifted 180 degrees from when we arrived. So as it stretched out the anchor chain we were treated to the excitement of the anchor alarm sounding. Don’t worry, we are holding fast.

Look at the big girl who came rumbling past while we were eating lunch.

Gloucester fishing boats are the real deal.

And this is how things looked in the still, foggy evening.
